Developing Teams for Practice Managers

Thursday 6th  June, 1.00pm-4.30pm, Eastern FSU Offices, 1 Bradford Court, Belfast, BT8 6RB

Target Audience: Practice Managers / Business Managers

A comprehensive ½ day workshop designed specifically for Practice Managers, aimed at focusing specifically on team development. How to engage a team and promote good working relationships as well as explore key ways that you as the practice manager can develop your team and ensure the team is functioning effectively. The course will be interactive and there will be plenty of opportunity for discussions and sharing with colleagues, while benefiting from the knowledge and strategies outlined by the speaker.

Course Aims & Objectives

Afternoon session: Leading & Developing Teams

By the end of this workshop participants will understand:

  • How teams develop and mature over time
  • The role of a manager in leading this development
  • How to engage teams to collaborate more effectively
  • How to develop ground rules for team work

Lunch will be provided upon arrival

Delivered by John Mackel, experienced, corporate coach with an interest in Strategic Leadership and also a lecturer in QUB. John has worked extensively with GP Federation and Practice staff on a range of courses in the last 5 years.

Costs charged for Practice Plus Learning Hub events are organised on a cost neutral basis to cover the costs of speakers time, venue / lunch, staff time, any surplus funding will be reinvested into training activities.
